Fire & Safety

This committee oversees the provision of fire and emergency services and coordinates the emergency preparedness plan for the Fire District.

The Facilities Committee oversees MIPOA-owned assets including roads, stormwater systems, rights-of-way, and land parcels.  All plans for new home or remodel construction projects and major landscape changes must be pre-reviewed and approved by this committee prior to beginning a project.   For more info click here.

Nominating

The Traffic Committee oversees traffic safety, traffic signs, and speed limits within the Fire District, and manages the Traffic Control officers stationed at the guardhouse.   Window decals are assigned by the Traffic Committee to long-term residents.   For more info click here.

The Nominating Committee nominates candidates from among those individuals eligible to vote in MIFD elections as Officers and for seats on our Board.

The Tick Committee oversees the Fire District's tick remediation program and any vendors we employ to service the tick program.   For more info click here.

The Shoreline Protection Committee was formed to address and find solutions for the shoreline erosion that is occurring near Allyn's Alley that is threatening the main access road.
